Thermoplastic elastomer compound or TPE is a flexible polymer material similar to rubber and its performance is similar to plastic and does not require vulcanization or curing.

TPE compound is used in many industries due to its many and diverse properties in applications such as the automotive industry, medical and health equipment, packaging industry, electrical and electronics industries, etc.

Thermoplastic elastomers are produced by two common methods: injection molding and extrusion.

Uses of thermoplastic elastomers

The main consumer of thermoplastic elastomers is the automotive industry. Many different interior and exterior parts of cars, including door surrounds and side door glass surrounds, caps and bumpers, are made of these materials.

Some components of household and medical appliances are also produced with the help of thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs).

Thermoplastic elastomers are also used in the food packaging industry.
